A recent planned trip to the hospital segued into an emergency, and the procedure I had gone in for was quickly followed by emergency surgery—major surgery. I was in the hospital for 3-1/2 miserable days, and when the surgeon’s PA finally signed me out, I was so overjoyed I broke down crying.
When I learned that what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure wasn’t going to be, I had my S.O. bring my computer to the hospital, but working was damned difficult, partly because of physical limitations and partly because I was zonked from being all but unable to sleep in the hospital.
Now that I’m out, I’m facing other medical challenges that would seem to be unrelated to the surgery, yet date specifically to the time immediately subsequent to my release.
All the same…I’M ALIVE. And glad of it!
I am not done writing books. I have over 100 published books to my credit (see my website at www.cynthiamacgregor.com), but I know I have more books in me.
I am not done ghostwriting books for others, writing non-book materials for others, editing books and non-book materials for others.
I have several clients I’m working with currently. I need to get their projects done!
I don’t ever want to stop working. Never! I intend to work and work till one day I drop dead at the computer, my fingers curled on the keyboard…
…but not any time soon!
Meanwhile, sick or well, it’s good to be alive! And working!
